CFMR’s 6th Annual Winter Wonderland Retreat

Report:
This Winter Retreat was incredible! The facility was absolutely gorgeous and the amenities were more than we have ever been able to offer for a winter retreat. This retreat was a true Winter Wonderland with all the snow the Lord provided. Snow tubing off the Wisp included a beautiful panoramic view of Deep Creek Lake that was breathtaking. The retreat weekend was filled with so many wonders including the youth’s performance to Michael W. Smith’s song “Come to the Cross”. God is so awesome for blessing each of us with great fellowship and activities from swimming in the indoor pool to BINGO on Saturday night. Thank you to everyone who attended this retreat. You inspire us to continue pressing forward in fulfilling God‘s calling for CFMR!

Upcoming Retreat - Married Couples Retreat
The next retreat is a married couples retreat and is scheduled for May 4th-6th (a two night stay) and will be held at North Glade Inn Bed and Breakfast, Deep Creek Lake, Maryland. The activities for this retreat are still in the planning stages, however, we can tell you we are considering reserving the North Glade Barn for country line dancing! If you are interested in attending this retreat registration begins April 2nd at noon. To register please call 717-738-1596. Registration is on a first come first served basis so be sure to call at noon on April 2nd!

What is CFMR?
CFMR (Christian Family Mountain Retreat) is an IRS approved non-profit organization (501c3) that was founded by Eric and Joan Bair in September 2001. Eric and Joan have a passion burning in their hearts for families, especially for married couples. With this passion, they diligently sought the Lord and with guidance, by the power of the Holy Spirit, they began offering retreats. They have a personal testimony that demonstrates God’s saving grace and unconditional love. Eric and Joan believe that CFMR is a wonderful way of sharing their message. Initially, their target was married couples, however, over the years the ministry has expanded their outreach to include a “Kidz Camp“, a Winter Wonderland Family retreat, and also Mens’ and Womens’ retreats.

Why are the retreats offered at no charge?
Eric and Joan along with the CFMR team have always felt strongly about offering retreats at no cost. One main reason is because we don’t want anyone to miss out on experiencing a retreat due to a financial burden. Therefore, the team puts their trust in the living God and believe He will speak to the hearts of His people about partnering with CFMR and, providing financial support on a regular basis as well as making donations at retreats.
