Retreat Report:
CFMR’s 3rd “Kidz Camp” took place at Black Rock Retreat in Quarryville, Pennsylvania, August 18-20. Everyone (including adults) had a wonderful time! The weekend activities included a game of Bingo, swimming time at the lake, songs by the bonfire and much more. The success of this retreat would not have been possible without the volunteers and attendees. Thank you to everyone and we’ll see you next year!

Words of Encouragement: The Veil is torn!
Scripture verses:
1. Exodus 26:33, “And you shall hang the veil from the clasps. Then you shall bring the ark of the Testimony in there, behind the veil. The veil shall be a divider for you between the holy place and the Most Holy.”
2. Matthew 27:51, “Then, behold, the veil of the temple was torn in two from top to bottom: and the earth quaked, and the rocks were split”.
The above referenced scriptures pertain to a topic that is a profound and very inspiring subject to me. The veil that hung in the Tabernacle of the Old Testament times represented man’s separation from the “Holy One”. The details about this goes much deeper than I could ever explain. In simple words, this veil represents a relationship that was severed due to sin. I can only imagine how heart broken our God was the day this occurred. However, in the second referenced scripture above we see that God made a way to open the communication line between Himself and man. The solution was to send His one and only Son, Jesus Christ, as the ultimate sacrifice for our sins. The death and resurrection of Jesus Christ made a way for man to reach God. The moment Jesus’s mission was complete he said, “It is finished”. The only High Priest who now has authority to go before God for the atonement of our sins is Christ Jesus. Without that ultimate sacrifice the communication line between God and man was closed. Now, the communication line is wide open! I believe God desires for us to keep our relationship with Him that simple. There’s no other way to God but through Jesus Christ. I pray this message encourages you to go to the throne boldly asking God for help in this life. He loves us all so much that He sent Jesus on a mission to draw us closer to Him.
Love Joan
