FEATURED ARTICLE: "The Gift of Eternal Life"
Referenced Scripture: John 3:16 - "For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son that whosoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life".
The day Adam and Eve disobeyed God's command in the Garden of Eden, a seed of sin was planted in their hearts which ultimately separated them from God. Sin is no different today in the lives of God's children, however, there is hope! God didn't want to be separated from mankind for eternity so He preordained a solution. He sent His Son Jesus Christ into the world two thousand years ago as the lamb that was slain, who would take on all past and future sins onto Himself in order for mankind to be reconciled back to God for eternity. He did that to demonstrate His love toward a sin stricken world. God is a Holy God and cannot allow sin to enter Heaven, but the seed of Jesus more than covers the seed of sin!!!
What happens if a man rejects Jesus? The answer is eternal damnation. God simply asks every person born into this world to receive His Son Jesus Christ who paid the price for every sin, past and future. There was nothing prideful about what Jesus did on the cross. He gave His life willingly so that every person ever born would have the opportunity to commune with a loving Heavenly Father on earth and into eternity. I believe God makes every effort, through His servants, to reach every soul for His kingdom. "He desires that none should perish". God has placed conditions on receiving eternal life and He does so because He is just. I can't imagine what Heaven looks like but I can guess that it is more beautiful than the most luxurious, breathtaking resort on earth. No wonder God has placed conditions on entering Heaven. He simply cannot allow sin into His Kingdom, but He provided a way for sinful people to enter and that is through His Son Jesus Christ. There is no other way. He is the way, the truth and the life. God Himself came to earth in the flesh as Jesus Christ to save man from eternal damnation. That is what I call "true love". I know I fall short and I face my own personal sins every day, but I also know that Jesus is my Savior and He covered my sins at Calvary. Not only do I now have victory over sin but, I also stand blameless before a Holy God whose gates are opened wide for me to enter. Ever since I gave my life to Jesus I have had great joy! I know He is with me always and is guiding me into all truth and keeping me safe in His everlasting arms. I pray you feel the same way about your life!
With Love, Joan
