FEATURED ARTICLE: "Jesus, The Name Above Every Name"
As we approach the Easter season, may we all sincerely search our hearts for the Jesus who died for the sins of the world. We all fall short of the glory and therefore are prone to making mistakes and facing challenges in our every day life. For that reason, Jesus left us with His name to give us the power needed to live an abundant life and conquer all evil. I must confess that I have much room for growth in my relationship with Jesus. I wholeheartedly desire to draw closer to Jesus and with that I desire to grow deeper in love with Him. In my relationship with Him, my circumstances should never gain control over my emotions because Jesus is the name above every name. Every situation must bow down when we call on His name. When we allow Jesus to take care of our problems He fills us with the "peace that passes all understanding."
God's word tells us, "Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid" (John 14:27). The only way that peace can fill our hearts is if we give our frustrations, troubles, and heartaches to Jesus. It is very easy to fall into deep despair and focus on the negative circumstances, but by the grace of God we can overcome the trials and tribulations of this life.
I pray this article challenges us all to obey God's command to "Let not your heart be troubled". At Calvary, Jesus paid the price for all of our sins and failures. All that He requires of us is for us to trust in Him to do the impossible. If we do our part and call on His name God will take care of the rest.
With love, Joan
